Munem wasif, a Bangladeshi photographer. Munem Wasif’s photography and film investigates complex social and political issues with a humanistic language, by getting close to the people, physically and psychologically. He presents the “Salt Water Tears” undoubtedly it was the best way present the scenario. The salt water could not present better than his story. The reason why I choose this story.

Coastal area people are facing lots of problems. Around their living area there is a bottomless water but cannot able to drink a drop from that. The need to walk miles to collect drinking water. In the winter or in rainy season they have to walk a long way to collect their drinking water. Because of salt water, the farmers cannot harvest crops. Only shrimp can firm there. otherwise no bird, no fish could stay there for long. Their earning source is also very limited. So, they are facing problems both physically and financially. And environmental disasters are their daily companion.

I am from a coastal area. I see the difficulties of living closely. Their trouble is unbearable. Every year’s cyclone kills their dreams. Their only living hood, cultivated land everything destroyed within a minute in front of their eyes. They are so helpless. They can only pray to god. The photographer presents the scenario in very details.

Every day comes to them like a nightmare. We cannot even thing what they face actually. but the photographer presents the scenario in very details. His story inspired me to know more about the salt water lives.
